Congratulations to George Giakkoupis, who received the Best Paper Award at the PODC conference.

George Giakkoupis is an Inria researcher in the research team WIDE. this prize was awarded in recognition of his article "Word-Size RMR Trade-offs for Recoverable Mutual Exclusion", co-authored with David Yu Cheng Chan and Philipp Woelfel.

PODC is the leading international conference on distributed algorithms, and is a highly prestigious prize in the community. The conference was held last June in Orlando (USA).
