IRISA's transfer and innovation strategy primarily relies on strong partnerships with the socio-economic world: SMEs and multinationals in fields as varied as health, environment, telecommunications, car manufacturers ... and ICT.
This willingness of collaboration between IRISA and the industrial world is the expression of a necessary complementarity that constitutes:
- On the one hand an important lever for the economy: through its knowledge, skills and scientific resources, IRISA promotes business innovation, wealth and job creation, a guarantee of competitiveness and growth.
- On the other hand, an in-depth knowledge of industrial activity: through knowledge of specific markets and the culture of application, companies make researchers aware of the concrete challenges of their industrial activity.
This collaboration is illustrated by a multitude of contracts signed with IRISA, through its trustees: industry-funded PhDs (CIFRE mechanism), collaboration within competitive projects with SMEs and multinationals (ANR, European projects...), creation of joint laboratories, dissemination of software and finally the creation of start-ups.
