›› Introduction
The diagnosis method we are interested in consists in recognizing instances of temporal patterns in a data stream. Such a pattern, called a chronicle, contains a set of events to which is associated temporal constraints which define the ordering of events and the delay between their occurrences. Among the solutions proposed in the domain, the CRS (Chronicle Recognition System) system is particularly efficient. It can be used to analyze voluminous data streams such as those coming from telecommunication networks. It is grounded on a STP (Simple Temporal Problem) approach associated to an efficient and economical management of chronicle instances.
