The CBMI workshop aims at bringing together various communities (audio, video, and image processing, textual information retrieval, multimedia databases) involved in various aspects of Multimedia Indexing. Following the successful CBMI'99 and CBMI'01Workshops that were held respectively in Toulouse, France, and in Brescia, Italy, the third CBMI workshop will take place in IRISA, in Rennes, Brittany, France.
