Cursus

Maria-Teresa Segarra graduated in Computer Sciences from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain. She received her Mastère diploma from the ENST-Bretagne Graduate School of Telecommunications Engineering at Brest, France in 1996. She received her Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies (M.S.) in Computer Sciences in 1997 and her PhD degree in 2000, both from the University of Rennes 1. From 1997 to 2000, she was a PhD student at IRISA Research Laboratory, Rennes, France. Since September 2000, she is a Temporary Research and Teaching Assistant at IRISA Research Laboratory and IFSIC (University of Rennes 1), respectively.

Teaching Activities

  • Operating systems programming and concepts.
  • Network mechanisms.

Research Interests

My research interests include distributed systems, object-oriented approaches, reflection, and adaptive systems. More specifically I am interested in dynamic adaptation to variations in mobile environments. I am currently working on the design of an object-oriented, component-based framework that encapsulates services that adapt to changes on execution conditions (MolèNE project).
