Journées Thématiques (GdR ISIS)
Particle Filtering
IHP,
December 2-3, 2002
Organizers :
François Le Gland
and
Jean-Pierre Le Cadre
This meeting is organized within the two CNRS projects
Hidden Markov Models and Particle Filtering
(programme inter-départements
MathSTIC)
and
AS 67 : Particle Methods
(action
spécifique du département STIC),
and within the GdR
Information, Signal, Images
et Vision (ISIS), a french network of academic research groups
in signal and image processing,
and it has been initially suggested by industrial partners of this network.
It will take place at
Institut Henri Poincaré
(IHP, amphitheatre Hermite,
directions),
on December 2-3, 2002.
The objective of this meeting is to share with potentially interested
industrial users the experience developped within the academic community,
so as to promote the use of particle methods.
To this effect, the programme contains
- a few tutorial lectures presenting the basic ideas behind particle
filtering and the main algorithmic variants that are used in practice,
- and a wide range of applications in signal and image processing,
to illustrate the efficiency of particle methods.
At this moment, the following speakers have confirmed their
participation :
Élise Arnaud (IRISA, Rennes),
Tanya Bertozzi (CNAM, Paris &
Diginext),
Arnaud
Doucet (Cambridge University),
Fredrik
Gustafsson (Linköping University),
Simon
Maskell (Cambridge University &
QinetiQ),
Christian Musso (ONERA, Chatillon),
Nadia Oudjane (EDF, Clamart),
Patrick

You will find below a list of
participants, a detailed
programme (also available in
PDF form), and some additional
information
