====== KerData ====== ===== Permanent Researchers ===== == Gabriel Antoniu == Gabriel Antoniu, Senior Researcher, is leading the KerData research team at Inria. His research focuses on scalable storage systems for clouds and Post-Petascale HPC systems. He has been leading the [[http://mapreduce.inria.fr|MapReduce ANR project]] and two projects within the Joint Microsoft-Inria Joint Research Centre : [[http://www.msr-inria.fr/projects/a-brain/|A-Brain ]] on optimized cloud storage for joint genetics and neuroimagiong analysis and [[http://www.msr-inria.fr/projects/z-cloudflow-data-workflows-in-the-cloud/|Z-CloudFlow]] on metadata management for geographically distributed workflows. == Alexandru Costan == He is an Associate Professor at INSA Rennes and a member in the KerData research team at Inria and IRISA. His research interests include: grid and cloud monitoring and distributed storage, large-scale distributed data management and sharing. During his PhD thesis, he focused on self-adaptive behavior of large-scale distributed systems based on monitoring information, being one of the main contributors to the MonALISA monitoring system. Currently he is focusing on mechanisms for scalable storage in cloud environments, MapReduce and more general abstractions for Big Data processing, like scientific workflows. == Luc Bougé == Luc Bougé is Professor of Computer Science at [[http://www.bretagne.ens-cachan.fr/|ENS Rennes]] (formerly ENS Cachan Brittany extension). His current research interests are related to large-scale data management for distributed infrastructures. Other topics of interest: parallel and distributed computing, cloud computing, BLOB-based storage, distributed file systems. ===== Ph.D. students ===== == Nathanael Cheriere == Nathanaël earned a bachelor degree (2013) and a master degree (2015) in computer science from ENS Rennes. He is now a PhD student at ENS Rennes working in the Kerdata team. The focus of his PhD is on the malleability of distributed storage systems. ===== Former PhD students involved in the Associate Team ===== == Matthieu Dorier == Matthieu graduated from ENS Rennes in December2014. Former PhD student of the KerData team, now a Software Development Specialist at Argonne National Laboratory, his focus is on I/O techniques for HPC, and data analysis and visualization for large scale simulations. Website: [[http://dorier.github.io|link]] == Radu Tudoran == Radu graduated from the Technical Univeristy of Cluj-Napoca (BSc). He then received a Master Degree in 2011 at University of Rennes I and ENS Cachan Brittany in France. Working within the KerData team at Inria Rennes, he received his PhD from ENS Rennes in December 2014. He is now Research Engineer at Huawei European Research Center in Munich. == Lokman Rahmani == Lokman Rahmani was a Ph.D. student at ENS Rennes working on High-Performance Computing systems, within the KerData team. He is now applying for research engineering positions in industry. == Luis Pineda Morales == Luis Pineda was a PhD student from the KerData team at Inria Rennes - Bretagne Atlantique (France).
