IIRISA and the world: Mission and activities
The department’s main roles are as follows: The IRISA IR cell regularly publishes details of international exchange programmes. These programmes are funded by IRISA partners: Université Rennes 1, CNRS, ENS Cachan, INSA Rennes, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its counterparts in other countries, and other bodies such as INRIA... This international development policy has enabled IRISA to consolidate its teaching through research. On 1 February 2014, 55% of doctoral candidates were foreign nationals. The number of theses in joint supervision increased by 50% in 2013. It cannot be denied that IRISA is a multicultural forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge. Its targeted and sustained excellence partnerships and participation in prestigious European and international networks help promote a policy of active cooperation in direct liaison with IRISA partners. The numerous bilateral agreements between the trustees, Université Rennes 1 and their partners promote mobility for their researchers and teaching staff. |
