The TSF Demo page

NEW : The documentation has been updated.  You can get the  compressed  postscript file or try the html version.

Installation notes:

-1- Get the last TSF-0.9.xx.tar.gz
-2- Uncompress and untar the file

gunzip TSF-0.9.xx.tar.gz
tar xvf TSF-0.9.xx.tar

(or if you have the gnu-tar)

tar xzvf  TSF-0.9.xx.tar.gz

-3- Go to the TSF-1.0 directory (Demo.Sept98.dir in the first release)

cd  TSF-1.0

-4- Edit the  foresys.tsf.sh script

set the TSFHOME variable to the current directory
set  (or comment) the SIMULOGD_LICENSE_FILE according to your Foresys license server

If necessary, uncomment and update the path where your X11/Xm libraries can be found.
 

-5- Run foresys.tsf.sh for the first time

-6- After the first execution, you may have to replace the keyword DENY by ALLOW in the file
.stserver.allow created in you home directory.

-7- Rerun foresys.tsf.sh

Bugs List:

• The Script Language is not very robust.  Bad scripts can crash FORESYS.
• In a text field, the 'TAB'   key switch to the next  widget. For example, when editing the script,  TAB+SPACE switch to the 'Apply' button, press the button and apply the selection.
• In the editor,  the keyboard focus is not removed when a new 'page' is selected. For example, after changing  from the 'Pattern' page to the 'Script' page, all keyboard entries are added to the 'Pattern' field.

TO DO List:

• Add menu entries or buttons to move and to reorder cases.
• Add a list with the last cases used.

The script update.sh is available to update your databases.

Changes in TSF-0.9.3

• Add the missing file 'system' in the bin directory. You can get this file HERE
• Update the installation notes to manage the file ~/.stserver.allow

Changes  in TSF-0.9.2

Add a 'Get' button to the Pattern Editor to get the pattern associated to the current selection.

The menu 'Abstraction' is activated: simple transformations to the current pattern.

The 'Edit' menu entry (in the TSF window) is renamed 'New Case'.

Fix the bug when running 'Edit' or 'Edit Base' without a database.
