You need a Java Virtual Machine to run the Umlaut graphic user interface.
To get the Sun JRE, download at least the 1.3 release from the Java Soft Sun site
To get the IBM JRE for Linux, go to IBM's JDK version 1.3.0
To download the JDK for Linux , go to the Blackdown site
To install Umlaut GauvainThen, the Umlaut package is installed in the directory umlautGauvain, which is created in the directory where you unpack the package.
- Download the zip file to the directory where you want to install Umlaut
- Unpack the file with any zip pack/unpack program
To run Umlaut Gauvain, execute the batch program runUmlautGauvain4NT.bat
